Little Black Bag

Hi ladies!

Last month, I found out about the website Little Black Bag. If you haven't heard about LBB, let me tell you all about it! Little Black Bag is a monthly subscription service unlike any other! Instead of a $20 box every month filled with sample size products, you get an amazing box ($29.95-$49.95 depending on which item you open with) filled with amazing, full sized products! And it gets better! Instead of having the company choose for you, you get to pick one full size item of your choice- a bag, shoes, or jewelry- and LBB's stylists pick up to three extra items for you. These items are typically jewelry, scarves, wallets, makeup, etc. Don't like what the stylist picks? No big deal! You get an entire week to trade out those things with other people for whatever you want on that's available on the site! It's a super fun way to shop! You do have the option to skip months, so don't worry, you won't automatically be charged for a bag every month unless you chose to do so!
*limited to US, Canada, APO and US Territory addresses only.*

Your Little Black Bag comes in a big white box, which is super cute, and when you open the box, all of your items are wrapped in black tissue paper.

*Retail $12
*Retail $70
My original stylist picks were a pair of earrings and a necklace that I wasn't too crazy about, so I got my tradin' on. I ended up with four or five things, and I had to trade four of those for these black half suede, half glitter booties. I love them so much and they fit perfectly! The last item that I ended up with were these adorable round, mustard colored studs. I thought that they were going to be much bigger and slightly cheap looking, but they're actually pretty tiny and are a very sturdy metal. I am more than pleased!

*Retail $60

Oh, this bad baby! As soon as I saw this I knew that I had to have it! This was the item that I chose to open my bag withAfter having it sit in my open bag for a few days, I kind of got skeptical of it, so I traded for its black twin. At the last minute, I changed my mind and decided that I absolutely had to have it back. I am so happy that I got it! It's actually very nice quality, and it's such a gorgeous color! Emerald was the color of the year, after all! My favorite part of this bag are the studs on the bottom. It gives it a really nice "edge."

I have to say that I am so happy with Little Black Bag! It is such an awesome, innovative idea. It's definitely one of those "I can't belive I never thought of that" ideas. I must warn you before you go, once you start, you will not be able to stop! It's the most addictive way to shop online!

Now, head on over to LBB and get started now!

Hair Envy

Recently, I have wanted nothing more than to chop off a good four-five inches of my hair. I just got a nice little dye job a few weeks ago after moving to Italy, but that wasn't enough of a "change" for me.
I have TONS of hair. It's the most annoying thing ever. I seriously feel like I have the mane of a horse on top of my head. And something that doesn't help is the fact that my hair just doesn't grow. My hair gets to that awkward not shoulder-not mid back length, and then it just stops. This isn't something new, either. This has been for the past 19 years of my life.
Since Spring is here, erm, kind of, I am really wanting to just chop it all off and give myself some bangs. I have some serious hair envy towards Olivia Wilde. It looks to me like we have the same hair texture/thickness and I really think I could pull this off. Maybe. My only concern is how round my face is. I'm not too sure how that would look. But then again, we almost have the same face shape, mine is just...fuller.

I would more than likely go with the cut on the left. I'm not sure if I'm brave enough to get rid of the extra 2 inches like the cut on the right. I don't know though. What do you think? Regardless, I'm doing this soon!

The Dress

Okay, so I may just be pulling this out of my ass, but I am pretty sure that we have a military ball coming up in the next few months. I'm not sure what the rules are for it, like if you have to have been deployed etc., but if we do have to go to it, this will be my dress!!! If I can't have this dress, I won't go. It's just PERFECT!

To military balls, you're typically supposed to wear floor length, formal gowns. It's like the Oscars or Golden Globes for military wives. Or, like prom. Maybe I shouldn't go as far as celebrity award shows. But anywho, since I live in Italy and the ball would be here, I figure why not wear something super Italian and eccentric?
This dress is from H&M Italia. I am not sure of what "brand" it's under, because I can't get the page to translate, but I know that it's not the standard H&M brand, as this dress is 99euro. But nonetheless, this dress is gorgeous and just so me! Let's hope that if we are able to go to the ball, my husband will actually want to go.
I JUST WANT THIS DRESS!

XOXO,

Megan

A New Start

Hi everyone!

This is a new project that I'm working on. I thought I would tell you all a little bit about myself, for those of you who don't already know me. My name is Megan. I once was a blogger, (www.theposhpearl.blogspot.com), many moons ago. (If you can even call ten months "many moons.") I've changed so much over the past ten months that that blog is no longer even relative to my life. Well, not really. It's not what I want in a blog anymore, so I just decided to start completely fresh. And can I say that I really don't understand any of this Google+ crap. Anyways.
In September of 2012, I got married to my AMAZING hubby, Stephen. We moved up to Fort Bragg, North Carolina from Louisiana in October, once he graduated OSUT from Fort Benning. We moved here because he had some training to do for a few months and I really didn't want to spend six months alone in LA without my new hubby! We just got orders around February 1st for, wait for it......ITALY! We are actually moving to Italy on the 27th...of THIS month. So a week from today I will be living in Italia, Y'ALL!
The reason that I am starting up this blog is actually because I will need something to occupy my time while we are living in Europe. Because of the way the whole visa thing works, I cannot work on the Italian economy, since I'm there with a military visa. It is VERY hard for military wives to find jobs in Vicenza at Caserma Ederle because not much is available. It's kind of a dog-eat-dog world over there for us military wives as far as the whole job search goes. Or so I've heard. Hopefully this blog will keep me busy for the time that we are there (three years! eek!) and hopefully when we move back to the states as well!
The purpose of this blog is all in the name. Army Wife. Style. Life. I'll be posting about life as an Army wife, and hopefully I'll be able to give advice to those of you who may be new comers to Fort Bragg, Fort Polk (I'm from LA, haven't been stationed there) or maybe even Caserma Ederle in Italy. I will also be posting about my personal style, which I can see being a little outrageous since I'm moving to what is essentially the most stylish region of the world. (Venice, Rome, Milan, hours from Paris, etc.) Another big chunk of my blog will be made up of make-up reviews, tutorials, hauls, etc. I'm a HUGE make-up junkie. You'll come to see that soon.
With our big move coming up next Tuesday I am not totally sure how often I will be posting over the next few weeks. With the whole Italian internet switch, living in a hotel, etc., it may be hard, but I PROMISE come mid-March I will be posting on a regular basis.
I look forward to sharing my life with all of you! Please stop back by over the next few days/weeks to see what all I have in store for you guys!

XOXO,

Megan
