March Ipsy Bag

Hey hey!

Back in January I decided it was time to subscribe to my first subscription service. After reading reviews, watching videos, and scouring the sites, I chose Ipsy. At $10 a month, you get a plethora of beauty items, ranging from deluxe samples to full size! Ya read right, full size products for only $10 a month! Each month you get 4-6 items to try out, that are picked out just for you, based on the quiz you took at sign up.

January was a decent month, containing mostly skin care items to pump that "new year, new you" feel. February was all makeup for me, which I loved! This month, I received fewer items (only four) but all but one item was full size, so I really can't complain too much.

This month I received a nicely sized sample of Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie lipstick in the shade Get Ready, NYX eyeshadow trio in No Tan Lines Allowed, Chella Eyeliner Pen in Indigo Blue, and the Pixi Beauty Brightening Flawless Beauty Primer.

*I'm the worst at photographing swatches.*

I really love everything in this month's bag, minus the highlight shade in the trio, as it's barely noticeable *see above.  But all in all, it was a great month for Ipsy! The lipstick and eyeliner are great and highly pigmented, and the shadows are smooth and creamy! I can't wait to put everything to good use in the coming months! I know the brightening primer will be especially great under a lightweight foundation during the summer for an added glow.

What did you receive in your March Ipsy bag? Let me know your thoughts!

February Beauty Favorites

This month, I wore more makeup than usual. I started playing and practicing more often, which lead to an abundance of products being used. Narrowing my favorites down to a shorter list was a pretty difficult task, so I had to chose those that I used on an almost daily basis. For almost the entire month of February, these products were strung across my desk top and were shown plenty of love.
The product that was probably shown the most love was my LORAC Pro Palette. This thing is, and forever will be, my baby. The pigmentation, the longevity of the shadows, the half-and-half matte and shimmer shadows, ah! I could seriously go on and on about this palette, but I'll keep it at it's amazing.
Along side my Pro Palette, I used the Stila Stay All Day water-proof liquid eyeliner and Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara to really make all of my eye looks pop. The blackness of the eyeliner is pretty unbeatable, and the magicalness of the mascara is beyond any of my wildest mascara dreams. Currently I only have travel sizes of each, but the full sizes are in my cart, await their purchase on Another eye favorite has been my Make Up Forever Aqua Brow in the shade 25. This cream brow filler is amazing! It does the best job of filling in and shaping my brows. I find that this gives me more precision that a pencil, along with more coverage. MUFE Aqua Brow is a bit pricey, at $25 for .23 oz of product, but I feel like this would last me years! The tiniest bit goes the longest way. This will be a forever favorite for sure.
I chose not to include a foundation favorite this month, because I've been using the Cover Girl Outlast Stay Fabulous three-in-one foundation religiously for months now. However, I did include a primer! My pores have been abnormally large this month, so I've been filling them in and priming my skin with the Benefit The PORE-fessional pore filling primer. This silky smooth primer really goes the extra mile when it comes to filling in pores.
For blush and bronzer, I've been using the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil matte bronzer and Benefit's Rockateur blush more than any others. I feel like this Too Faced bronzer is the absolute best of contouring and bronzing up the face. The rose gold hue of the Rockateur blush compliments the bronzer exceptionally well. The combination of the two is very natural and so pretty!

Well, that's all for my February beauty favorites! This was quite the long-winded post, in my opinion, but I was in a writing mood. I hope you all enjoyed it! Thanks so much for reading!
